VILLA MARSEILLE

Category: Residential

Location: Marseille, France

Client: private

Year: 2025

We designed this villa around a very simple idea: quiet living that opens up to the outside. Instead of forcing a boundary between the house and the garden, we let them coexist. Large glass walls allow the natural light to shift slowly throughout the day, making the green landscape feel like a natural part of the room. It is a home designed to be felt rather than just looked at, where the terrace and pool simply feel like an outdoor living room.

Inside, the focus is entirely on honest, tactile materials that age beautifully. The floors are laid with warm, raw travertine stone, grounding the space with an organic feel. We balanced this mineral texture with the warmth of natural oak wood, seen in the large, simple bookshelves, and soft off-white plaster walls that catch the light gently. There is no excess here; only linen, stone, and wood working together in silence.

Our process was guided by balance and simplicity. We wanted to create a home that feels like a quiet sanctuary. The open layout connects the dining and lounge areas in a natural sequence, ending at the garden. Through subtle details and natural vegetation, we shaped a space that is deeply connected to its surroundings, a modern home defined by comfort, craftsmanship, and a sense of calm.
